About this piece
I painted “Anchorage off Smugglers Cove” in 1997 during a voyage through the Channel Islands.
We had anchored just off Santa Cruz Island, waiting for the winds to subside. Instead, they just became stronger. After a couple of days, I decided to do something with the painting gear I had brought with me.
The sunlight had such a strong penetration with the clear day, and it reflected off the rocks above the cove. Meanwhile, the vessels veered and bobbed violently as they strained against their ground tackle.

Order handling
All artwork is carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy tubing. Multiple artwork orders may require more than one shipping tube.
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-5 business days and are shipped from California. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Damages
Art by Scott Kennedy is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
