About this watercolor painting

One finds the old Cushman Store nestled along the banks of the Siuslaw River, not far from the coastal city and old town of Florence, Oregon.  Creaking floor planks and leaning timbers define this historic wooden general store originally built over a century ago in 1889.

This old structure would tell stories if it could talk. My original inclination to paint this deserving piece gave way to a substantial time commitment. I sat for days while rendering intricate details of this magnificent setting.

The famous Cushman general store carried condiments including live bait, fishing gear, hunting and camping supplies, and of course, beer.

In the background, the train trestle crossed the river with a rotating bridge for passing ships.  These vessels headed up-river to make their way to Mapleton and the lumber mills.

All artwork is carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy tubing. Multiple artwork orders may require more than one shipping tube.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-5 business days and are shipped from California. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
