About Sonderborg Strand

Opposite the Sonderborg Castle at the southern entrance to the harbor stood Michaelson’s, a family-owned and operated boatyard.

Many a wooden vessel had been brought into this local shipyard for repair, as the craftsmanship here was well-known. Also, wood was plentiful in the area – especially oak. This attracted many ships from Germany, just across the waters.

This peaceful setting inspired me every time I would walk out to the point. I went on to make several drawings and paintings of this place…when work on my own boat, Svanen, was not calling me.

Order handling

All artwork is carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy tubing. Multiple artwork orders may require more than one shipping tube.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-5 business days and are shipped from California. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Damages

Art by Scott Kennedy is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
