Description
Giclée reproduction of “Schock Boatyard” from the original oil painting by artist Scott Kennedy in 2005.
About this boatyard
Schock Boatyard, located in the Cannery Village, was my subject for this oil painting in 2005.
W. D. “Bill” Schock was a well-known naval architect who built his first boat – a Skimmer sailing dinghy – in the family garage at age 13. He later spent time in the military during World War 11 and, upon his return, moved into a small beach house in Newport Beach.
Shortly thereafter, Bill began his boat repair business, originally named “W. D. Schock Boat Building and Repair”. His success in mass-producing the Leyman dinghy made his company one of the largest boat builders on the West Coast.

In addition, the Certificate verifies that the artwork has been reproduced using only the highest quality archival-certified materials designed to preserve its integrity and longevity. Art by Scott Kennedy recommends that the Certificate be stored safely and securely.
About Giclée
A Giclée is regarded as a museum-quality reproduction with its exceptional detail and color fidelity. Only name-brand, fade-resistant, archival-certified inks are applied to acid-free, archival quality substrates in order to produce the sharpest images possible.
Care for your Giclée print
On each Giclée print, we apply an archival coating designed to protect against UV light, scuffing, fingerprints and moisture. To ensure your fine art reproduction lasts a lifetime, avoid direct contact with the ink surface and do not position your print near direct sunlight or direct heating.
