About the Schleppers of Bremerhaven (translated: the tug boats of Bremerhaven)
The ships entering or leaving the harbor of this port city in northern Germany must pay great respect to their indispensable helpers – the Schleppers of Bremerhaven.
Bremerhaven sits at the mouth of the Weser River, a narrow waterway that flows north through the city and empties into the North Sea. The tugs, with their experienced captains, operate with such agility while navigating the difficult tidal waters and shifting sand bars.
In 1982, while moored nearby on the Svanen, I could not help but notice the enormous presence of these powerful tugs. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to put this composition together.
I had learned while in Bremerhaven that this major transatlantic shipping center was also a historic departure port for many (now) North and South American citizens.

Order handling
All artwork is carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy tubing. Multiple artwork orders may require more than one shipping tube.
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-5 business days and are shipped from California. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Damages
Art by Scott Kennedy is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
