Description
Giclée reproduction of “Duffy Boats” from the original oil painting by artist Scott Kennedy in 2003.
The original work was painted on location in Newport Beach, California, and is part of Scott Kennedy’s Newport Beach Artwork collection.
About the painting
In 2003, Marshall “Duffy” Duffield commissioned me to portray his creation.
Duffy Electric Boat Company began over 45 years ago when Duffy installed an old golf cart motor into a beat-up motorboat. He never dreamed that he had just launched the prototype for an electric-powered watercraft that would become a household name.
Now, these electric boats provide quiet and pollution-free cruising of inland waterways, and also dominate the leisure electric boat market on nearly every continent.
In this oil painting, a Duffy boat is quietly approaching the narrow channel between Bay Island and Balboa Peninsula. The crew and guests leisurely take in the familiar sights in Newport’s Harbor.

Certificate of Authenticity
To protect your investment, a Certificate of Authenticity is issued for, and included with, each giclée reproduction. This Certificate guarantees that the specified artwork is one of a numbered edition of fine art giclées that has been reproduced directly from the original work of the artist.
The Certificate bears the artist’s seal and his personal signature, along with the edition number, printing method, materials used to create the reproduction, and information about the original artwork from which the reproduction was made.
In addition, the Certificate verifies that the artwork has been reproduced using only the highest quality archival-certified materials designed to preserve its integrity and longevity. Art by Scott Kennedy recommends that the Certificate be stored safely and securely.
About Giclée
A Giclée is regarded as a museum-quality reproduction with its exceptional detail and color fidelity. Only name-brand, fade-resistant, archival-certified inks are applied to acid-free, archival quality substrates in order to produce the sharpest images possible.
Care for your Giclée print
On each Giclée print, we apply an archival coating designed to protect against UV light, scuffing, fingerprints and moisture. To ensure your fine art reproduction lasts a lifetime, avoid direct contact with the ink surface and do not position your print near direct sunlight or direct heating.
