About this painting from the heart of Amsterdam

Wandering, looking, pausing…the mood of that day took me to the old Café Reynders.

This traditional Dutch café in the centre of Amsterdam was founded in 1896, and it hadn’t changed much since then.

Something had caught my eye. I had to figure out what it was. What story could I tell to an observer – or even myself – by expressing this scene on paper?

How was I going to frame this scene within the confines of my thick sheet of paper? I held up my hands, squaring it off from different angles.

The animated conversations and spirited gestures told me that this must be a popular place for both locals and tourists alike. I set about to capture this lively atmosphere, along with the city’s whimsical architecture.

Order handling

All artwork is carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy tubing. Multiple artwork orders may require more than one shipping tube.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-5 business days and are shipped from California. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Damages

Art by Scott Kennedy is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
